The Fair Work Commission has announced a 2.4% increase to minimum wages. The increase will apply from 1 July 2016. The national minimum wage has been increased from $656.90 a week or $17.29 an hour, to $672.70 a week or $17.70 an hour. The new wage rate will come into effect from July 1, 2016.
