Austria - Agreement for metal craft workers - November 30, 2024

After the metal industry, unions GPA and PRO-GE reached a new collective agreement for the 98,000 employees in the metal craft industry. The wage increase is 7.8% in all pay groups. The minimum wages will increase between 8.7 and 8.0%. A real increase above the average inflation rate of +0.5% was agreed for 2025. The increase in allowances is 8.5%. The increase in apprentice compensation ranges from 11.9% to 20.9%. The costs for the climate ticket for the years 2024 and 2025 for apprentices in the 1st to 3rd year of apprenticeship will be reimbursed.
